Our motorhome pitch at Thorsminde Camping is located right on Jutland’s west coast, between the North Sea and Nissum Fjord. From here, it’s a short distance to Thyborøn, Holstebro and Ringkøbing, and the surroundings provide calm, pleasant settings for a great stay.

Here you get a solution that suits both short stops and longer holidays, and we make it easy to travel by motorhome all year round. Many of our guests choose us as a regular stop when they’re looking for private motorhome pitches with both comfort and flexibility.

Other facilities

The campsite swimming pool can be used for a fee paid at reception from the campsite’s seasonal opening until 1 September.
Day passes for water sports access on Nissum Fjord can be purchased at reception.
If you wish to use the campsite’s other facilities such as the fitness room, swimming pool, lounge, playground, grill and kitchens, dog agility, and water sports access on the fjord, you must book a stay at the campsite.
When staying at the campsite, the facilities are included in the price, except for the sauna and laundry including tumble drying, which incur an additional fee.

The motorhome pitch is uniquely located for wonderful hikes with sunrise over Nissum Fjord and sunset in the dunes by the North Sea. Our motorhome pitch is available year-round and 24/7, as it is set up as a separate area in front of the campsite barrier. The pitches are marked with dividers, and you can choose with or without electricity. During the camping season, there is also access to a fish cleaning station and a chest freezer for freezing your freshly caught fish.

The motorhome pitch is a perfect solution for those who want to be on the move and are self-sufficient, yet still have the necessary facilities for great experiences while holidaying in Denmark.

Open all year with flexible arrival

During the open season, you can check in during reception opening hours, always from 8:00 (see varying times on the door). You can arrive at the pitch between 7:00 and 23:00.

You can order breakfast rolls using the order forms by the toilets or at the reception door. Put the form in the mailbox by reception before 20:00.

Please note: In the winter season, when the campsite is closed, there is no staff on site – during this period you can check in 24/7. Payment via the mailbox at reception or on the website. Payment envelopes are available by the toilets.

Arrival at the motorhome pitch is possible 24/7 all year round; however, check-out is no later than 12:00.

Options for a stay with more to it

If you want more than just the practical basics, you can add access to our other facilities. This gives you the freedom to shape your stay as you wish – whether you prefer activity, relaxation or socialising. With access to our facilities, you can, among other things, use the swimming pool, the agility course and access to the fjord as an add-on. At the same time, the location close to both fjord and sea offers great opportunities for fishing, water sports and wonderful hikes in nature.
