Site rules at Thorsminde Camping
At Thorsminde Camping, we aim to be a place where there is room for differences among campers. That also means there are a few simple rules to ensure it’s a pleasant place for everyone.
Staying on site
The camp managers are responsible for peace and order on the site, and we are available if any problems arise. The camp managers’ instructions must always be followed. Please be considerate of the other campers on site, and there must be quiet between 23:00 and 07:00. During your stay, driving on site must be kept to an absolute minimum and must always be at walking pace (under 15 km/h).
Only one car per unit is allowed on site; otherwise, please use the parking area in front of the barrier.
Only standard tents and awnings for caravans may be used. Tent cabins with solid walls, windows, and doors are not permitted. Caravans must be mobile and in good condition, as assessed by the camp manager. It is permitted to set up mobile windbreaks and a small luggage/storage tent of approx. 3 m2. If you dig on your allocated pitch, it must be left level when you no longer wish to keep the pitch.
The use of any kind of weapons and fireworks is prohibited on site.
Trading on site is only permitted if accepted by the camp managers.
Shared facilities such as toilets, laundry room, fish-cleaning area, kitchen, and similar must be left clean and tidy.
The waste containers provided on site must always be used.
Car washing may only take place at the car wash area.
Fire safety and distance rules
The safety distance between camping units must be at least 3 metres in accordance with the fire safety measures in the camping regulations. The caravan must be positioned so that neighbours’ set-up options are not reduced. Caravan/awning/windbreaks must keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres from boundary stones/posts.
Play and ball games
The campsite has its own playgrounds. Help your children find the places where playing or ball games are allowed. Ball games must not take place between caravans and tents if it causes a nuisance to neighbours.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome on site, but they must be kept on a short lead. They must not make unnecessary noise, and walking must take place outside the campsite area or in a designated place. There is a dog park at the sports field next to the campsite. Always bring a bag to pick up after your dog.
Departure
Please inform the camp manager of your departure time as early as possible, especially during busy periods with queues. Unless otherwise agreed with the camp manager, your pitch or cabin must be cleared and cleaned by 11:00 at the latest, out of consideration for newly arriving guests.
Liability
The camp managers accept no responsibility for damage to or loss of campers’ belongings. Anyone who damages buildings, equipment, or fellow campers’ property may be held liable under the general rules of compensation. Most campers are, of course, considerate in their behaviour. Sanctions against the few who do not comply with the site rules may include being asked to leave the site.
Nature and environment
Please be considerate and help protect both nature and the environment—both depend on your care. Note: there is a protected bird area by the fjord during parts of the camping season—see signage by the fjord.
Seasonal pitches
For campers who have entered into an agreement with the campsite to rent a seasonal pitch, more detailed rules apply regarding the caravan’s mobility, the layout of the unit pitch, and pitch registration at the site reception.
